THE CHRISTMAS FIRETRUCK CAME LAST NIGHT!!!!! YAAAY!!!!!
It was so cool! Like always, I bundled myself up and waited outside, listening for the music from the firetruck to come. I waited about ten minutes before another one of my sisters joined me. Together we waited until we heard the sound of the Christmas engine coming. I got all jazzed like.....
I rushed quickly inside to tell my sister to come out with us to see it. It wasn't long before it made its way down the road. That was then I realized that my mommy wasn't home from work yet!!!!! She was going to miss it!
I was so sad and prayed she'd get home on time to see it. But the Firetruck came and left so fast that mommy missed it by ten minutes. We were able to have our pictures taken in front of it. How cool is that?!
It was so awesome and exciting to see it, and I just was so sad mommy had to miss such a one-time-a-year occasion, that, after it left, I waited on the porch while my other sisters went inside to enjoy the free candy canes that the firemen had given them. I was going to make sure that as soon as mom got home, she and I would go on a mission to find the firetruck again! Great idea right? WRONG! maybe I was all thrilled and willing to chase the Christmas truck all over town...but mom... was not. I didn't blame her. After all, she'd just walked home from work! But I was determined to make it possible for her to see it, no matter how silly it may have seemed. We did end up catching it and Mom was able to get a candy cane (even though she said I was a nut). I realize now that it was a funny thing to do, chasing the thing all over kingdom come only to receive a candy cane, but it is really the memory of the moment that made it a time to remember.
Anyway, that's all I've got. With Christmas only being a week away, I am too excited to write anymore. I want to snuggle up in a blanket and drink some tea by my pretty Christmas tree. So I must bid you farewell. Bye for now!
