Here I am again. Please excuse my absence... But anyone deserves to have a break around Christmastime!! and what a Christmas it was.
On the Eve of Christmas Eve, we all over went over to my sister's home and had a baking party!
On the Eve of Christmas Eve, we all over went over to my sister's home and had a baking party!
Friends from all around came over to help. Treats of many shapes and sizes were made: Sugar cookies, Pizzelles, chocolate cookies, truffles, Butterfinger, biscotti, ginger cookies, and Snickerdoodle were what the house smelt like. It was so much fun! I made Snickerdoodle cookies and they tasted SUPER good so yay me!!
After that we were given thoughtful presents from my dear friend Sammi Bender and I got nail polish and cozy socks. The rest of the evening was spent laughing and reminiscing some fun memories. Christmas Eve was pretty amazing too. There were a bunch of pressies to bring over and it was a hassle. But all in good time. We packed a bag to stay the night and kept the radio going all night, listening to Christmas music fill the air all night long. As usual, I only got about six hours of rest. This is because I had excited jitters that wouldn't go away until Christmas morning arrived. It was a beautiful sight to see the next morning. It's always so magical to see a twinkling Christmas tree glowing with color and surrounded by booty for everyone to gaze at. I was up the minute I heard people saying "Merry Christmas!" and snuggled up in a blanket. All morning we were all in high spirits and very jolly. And at ten we had a gorgeous sung mass which was a glorious occasion.
I really loved this Christmas. And with a warm heart and cheerful greeting...
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!!!
